‘Recognise’ or ‘recognize’?
‘Recognise’ and ‘recognize’ are both correct spellings.
‘Recognise’ is mainly used in British English. ‘Recognize’ is used in American English.
Many people say that ‘recognise’ is the correct spelling in British English, but other people use ‘recognize’. ‘Recognize’ is always used in American English.
So, it’s really a matter of choice. Just try to be consistent. And if your textbook or teacher prefers one form more than the other it would be better to stick with that.
